The Role of the Vancouver Rodeo Queen

 The Vancouver Rodeo Queen try-outs are held annually to select a young lady to serve as a goodwill ambassadors for the sport of Professional Rodeo, the Vancouver Rodeo and the Clark County Saddle Club.

Who is Miss Vancouver Rodeo Queen?

Miss Vancouver Rodeo Queen is a young lady who strives to promote the sport of Professional Rodeo, the Vancouver Rodeo and the Clark County Saddle Club and, in so doing, promote the great western way of life.  Miss Vancouver Rodeo Queen will be a talented, personable horse-woman with a vast knowledge of the sport of rodeo, the equine industry and our Vancouver Rodeo and the Clark County Saddle Club.  She is a young lady who enjoys travel and has a sincere interest in garnering educational experiences, which will assist in laying a solid foundation for her life.

What Type of Young Lady Does the Try-outs Attract?

  • The young lady who wishes to be a representative of her hometown community and the NPRA (Northwest Professional Rodeo Association).
  • The young lady who has a desire to travel our state to promote the great western way of life through rodeo related events.
  • The young lady who portrays unexcelled sportsmanship, high moral, and ethical character.
  • The young lady who understands and loves the sport of professional rodeo and who has the knowledge of the sport to sell it to someone who may know nothing of the sport.
  • The young lady who is able to speak intelligently and display dignity in all situations.
