The Role of the Vancouver Rodeo Queen
The Vancouver Rodeo Queen try-outs are held annually to select a young lady to serve as a goodwill ambassadors for the sport of Professional Rodeo, the Vancouver Rodeo and the Clark County Saddle Club.
Who is Miss Vancouver Rodeo Queen?
Miss Vancouver Rodeo Queen is a young lady who strives to promote the sport of Professional Rodeo, the Vancouver Rodeo and the Clark County Saddle Club and, in so doing, promote the great western way of life. Miss Vancouver Rodeo Queen will be a talented, personable horse-woman with a vast knowledge of the sport of rodeo, the equine industry and our Vancouver Rodeo and the Clark County Saddle Club. She is a young lady who enjoys travel and has a sincere interest in garnering educational experiences, which will assist in laying a solid foundation for her life.
What Type of Young Lady Does the Try-outs Attract?
- The young lady who wishes to be a representative of her hometown community and the NPRA (Northwest Professional Rodeo Association).
- The young lady who has a desire to travel our state to promote the great western way of life through rodeo related events.
- The young lady who portrays unexcelled sportsmanship, high moral, and ethical character.
- The young lady who understands and loves the sport of professional rodeo and who has the knowledge of the sport to sell it to someone who may know nothing of the sport.
- The young lady who is able to speak intelligently and display dignity in all situations.
2014 Rodeo Queen Pageant Clinic FREE
It's that time of year again! Any young ladies of the Clark and surrounding counties interested in trying out for Miss Vancouver Rodeo? Head over to our FREE clinic hosted by Miss Vancouver Rodeo and the Clark County Fair Court. Its sure to be a night full of inside tips and tricks of the rodeo queen world so bring a note book and pen! Don't think all you will do is write notes, this is an interactive learning experience! We will practice modeling, impromptu questions, public speaking and more. Live demos of how to curl hair and properly apply makeup as well. We will cover how to select a wardrobe, and queen etiquette, to queen expectations and sponsor hunting. Current 2013 royalty and their advisors will be on site to answer any and all questions about tryouts, titles, and applications. Don't enter a pageant unprepared, come to our clinic and learn how to ace the title with style and grace!
