2008 Vancouver Rodeo Queen
Jennifer Stout

Jennifer Stout was born July 31, 1991, and lives in Kelso, Washington.  Jennifer's parents are Dave and Dolores Stout. She has two brothers and one sister, with Jennifer being the youngest.

At birth, Jennifer was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and is known by many as "Trooper".  Doctors are amazed at her health, and she is an inspiration to anyone who meets her.

In 2002 Jennifer was gifted a horse from "Make A Wish Foundation", his name is Dash.  Since Dash came into her life her health has improved, the more she rides the healthier her lungs are.  Taking her health seriously and striving to stay healthy, Jennifer is busy competing in barrel racing and representing the beautiful city of Vancouver, Washington as "Miss Vancouver Rodeo, 2008".

Jennifer is socially involved in our community by helping those in need.  With a "You Can Do It" attitude she believes in others as well as herself.  A guest speaker for the "Make A Wish" gala event in 2003 Jennifer shared the miracle in her life and helped raise more than $400,000.00 to help provide a "Wish" for children with a life threatening illness.

This year Jennifer introduced the idea of supporting a foundation to the Vancouver Rodeo Committee, such as the PRCA does with Breast Cancer Awareness . Without hesitation a unanimous decision was made to raise monies for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help find a cure.

Jennifer extends an invitation to you to join her at the Vancouver Rodeo to be held  July 2nd through the 5th, with the 4th of July a percentage of the ticket sales will goes towards the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Throughout this year you can count on Jennifer to be supporting both of these most critical cures and invites you to team up and join her in this campaign!

Having a love for horses and a passion for rodeo is what has brought Jennifer to this place as
 "Miss Vancouver Rodeo, 2008".

With appreciation to those who have, and continue to support her as she begins her journey as Rodeo Queen, Jennifer expresses a grateful heart to the Merz family who has literally taught her the "Ropes of Rodeo".  Jennifer believes you should appreciate work and be dedicated to your dreams, live life to the fullest and giving of your best at all times.

With her faith, family and companions, Dash and Peggy Sue, Jennifer knows that nothing is impossible!

A Special Note from Queen Jennifer:

Hello Rodeo Fans and Contestants,

This year brings a special opportunity at the Vancouver Rodeo, 2008, a chance for you to get involved by helping those in our community diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).

As many of you know, I was diagnosed with CF at birth. For me this is personal and exciting. Not only is it a privilege to be "Miss Vancouver Rodeo 2008", I am additionally blessed to have a supportive Rodeo Board who is beside me all the way!

So this year I would like to extend a personal invitation for you to join me on the 4th of July for the performance at 1:00 p.m. A portion of the ticket sales on this date will go towards helping find a cure for CF and the monies donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

What a better way to spend your Patriotic day of celebration, good food, family fun, entertainment and an opportunity to get involved!

You won't want to miss the thrills and spills as these cowboys and cowgirls rope it, ride it and run it like never seen before!

Together we are making GREAT STRIDES and ADDING TOMORROWS!

Thank you for accepting this invitation and I look forward to seeing you at the rodeo!

Smiles,
Queen Jennifer
